Dillon Johnson

 

 

 

 

 

Dillon is our resident tuba player, and repair shop manager. Upon graduating high school, Dillon enlisted in the US Army, serving 6 years with the 1st Infantry Division Band and overseas in the 8th US Army Band in Seoul, South Korea, as a tuba player. After completing his military commitment, he went to school at Renton Technical College where he earned his certificate in Band Instrument Repair Technologies. After completing repair school Dillon was trained under several accredited Band Instrument Repair Technicians. While doing so, he handled work for countless schools and pro musicians in Alabama. Dillon decided to move back to North Carolina in 2022. Dillon still serves as a tuba player for the 440th - North Carolina, Army National Guard Band.

 

 

Mike Morse 

Mike has been repairing and modifying brass instruments for over 35 years. After earning a Bachelor of Music degree in French horn performance, then a diploma in instrument repair from the Red Wing Technical repair program, Mike moved to Durham, NC in 1981. His work experience has included working for the areas largest music dealer as a brass technician, then department manager, and owning his own business. During that time Mike has done repeat work for most of the local professional brass players, the Tuba Exchange, and draws work from all around the southeast.
