The St. Petersburg (Carpathian) STP-202 is the instrument of choice for any player looking for a 4/4, four rotary valve, BBb tuba with the best combination of great tone, great response, great intonation, and great price! While its compact size is smaller than other full size tubas on the market, this affords a very comfortable fit for any size player. Its large 0.830" bore provides for a free blowing horn that produces a huge sound. All of this together delivers excellent playability throughout the entire range of the horn. Available in nickel plate or lacquer finish, yellow or gold brass. Case is sold separately.
A note on St Petersburg tubas: The factory has informed us that there will be a name change to STP Carpathians, which pays homage to the mountain range that is a dominant geographical feature of the region where the factory is located.
